2MBS Fine Music Sydney, Australia’s first Stereo FM radio station, is celebrating its 50th anniversary on the airwaves in February. To mark this special occasion, the station is hosting a 50th Anniversary open day, inviting visitors to join in the celebration.
Guests can visit the 2MBS studios at 76 Chandos Street, St Leonards, to experience the charm of Sydney’s iconic classical and fine music station. Bandits of the Blues at Crows Nest Hotel

Did someone say live music at the zoo? Sydney’s summer will once again come alive with the return of the Twilight at Taronga 2025 Summer Concert Series, running from February 7 to March 9. Set against the stunning backdrop of Sydney Harbour, this iconic event offers the perfect evening picnic on the lawns of Taronga Zoo’s intimate natural amphitheatre. As the sun sets, some of Australia’s favourite artists will take the stage, while Taronga’s animals settle in for the night.
Catch the indie vibes of Middle Kids, groove to Justine Clarke beloved for her role on Play School performing a special 10 AM kid’s show, or laugh out loud at the Comedy Gala on February 15, featuring Joel Creasey, Ferguson Carrol, Dave Thornton, and more!

St Ives Night Markets Lunar New Year

Sunset Cinema, which kicked off on December 5, continues until March 15, offering the perfect way to enjoy movies under the stars. Grab a blanket and bring your family, friends, partners to enjoy a relaxing night outdoors.
Freshly popped popcorn, ice cream, and candy are all available on-site. Exhibition: Infrangible Matter; Tracing the Elements at The Concourse in Chatswood
When: Wednesdays to Sundays 11am to 5pm until Sunday 23rd February
Where: The Concourse, 409 Victoria Avenue, Chatswood
This free exhibition explores the five elements: Fire, Water, Air, Metal, and Earth, through the lens of traditional Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean cultures. Known as Wǔxíng in Chinese, O Haeng in Korean, and Ngũ Hành in Vietnamese, these elements have deep cultural and spiritual significance.
Drawing from diverse global traditions, the exhibition showcases contemporary artists' interpretations of these elements, addressing themes such as colonisation, the environment, migration, and personal ritual. Featuring artists like Min-Woo Bang, Cindy Yuen-Zhe Chen, and Hirofumi Uchino, the exhibition offers a cross-cultural perspective on these ancient forces.
Speed Dating at the Greenwood Hotel
When: 11 February, 6pm-9pm
Where: The Greenwood Hotel, 36 Blue Street Lounge Bar North Sydney
Looking for a fun and fast way to meet new people? Head to the Greenwood Hotel for a lively speed dating event this February.

Willoughby Council’s HSC Art Showcase
When: Thursdays and Sundays, 11am to 5 pm from Thursday 27th February to Sunday 23rd March
Where: The Concourse, 409 Victoria Avenue, Chatswood
Have a look at the dynamic exhibition of student artworks from the 2024 NSW HSC Visual Arts practical exam. Presented by Willoughby City Council, the exhibition includes works from students across six local high schools: Bradfield Senior College, Chatswood High School, Glenaeon Rudolf Steiner School, Mercy Catholic College, St Pius X College, and Willoughby Girls High School.
The selected artworks explore themes such as immigration, poverty, mental health, identity, patriarchy, and the impact of technology, reflecting the concerns and perspectives of a new generation of artists.
