201 Miller Street, North Sydney (Ground floor)
Only a three-minute walk from the Victoria Cross Metro Station, this chic cafe is located on the ground floor of an office building. It has an amazing ambience with a polished and shiny, but minimalist interior. Open from 7am until 3pm Monday to Friday but closed on weekends. This cafe is not only a great option for matcha, but also suitable for breakfast and lunch and they offer a wide variety of foods and an array of hot and cold drinks available. Alternate milks are available so it’s a safe option for vegan and/or lactose intolerant people. They also sell their own merch, including t-shirts, jumpers, mugs and more!
18 Eden Street North Sydney
Just one right turn off the Pacific Highway, this cafe-bakery is a must-visit for all lovers of matcha. They don’t just make lattes, they do matcha flavored muffins, cookies, Swiss-rolls, tarts and more! If you really enjoy it, they also sell ceremonial grade matcha powder so you can make your own drinks at home. As with Aslan, Cre Asion also offers alternative milks so safe for vegans and lactose intolerants. On the downside, there aren't any tables or chairs in this cafe, only sitting benches so it's more of a take-away place (something to consider if you’re planning to go with a friend). Open 8am until 2:30 pm on weekdays and 8am until 2pm on weekends.
80 mount, North Sydney NSW 206
Across the road from Mount Street place, this homey and down-to-Earth cafe hosts plenty of rustic-style wooden tables and chairs, making it great for a sit-down catch-up. As with Aslan and Cre Asion, it also offers alternative milks, and it's only a few minutes’ walk from North Sydney train station. Open 6:30 am until 5pm every day except Sunday.
